Invitations for the first ever A.H.

A.H. stands for ✨Awakening Hour✨. It’s the very first facilitated gathering I’ve crafted with two of my close girlfriends. And for those of you wondering, yes, Priya Parker most definitely inspired me to do this. I read her book, The Art of Gathering, just like how I ate a third of my leftover cappuccino eclair for dinner this evening; slowly, to savor every delicious moment 😋.

I’ve always loved bringing people together. But it was my girl, Priya, who helped me realize that coordinating a gathering isn’t only about the stressful To Do list or logistics. In fact, it shouldn’t even be about these stressors at all. It’s about the temporary alternative universe, and meaningful connections we can gift to both ourselves and our guests during our unique time together.

Thing is, coordinating conscious gatherings like these requires practice and passion. So it’s going to take some work to master the art of gathering (HA, see what I did there? 😏).

But as I’ve mentioned, I love bringing people together. I’ve organized so. many. freaking. events. in the past because it makes me happy to see people enter and enjoy a space in which I’ve designed for a specific purpose. Because of these reasons (and more), I was SO PUMPED to apply what I’ve learned from Priya Parker’s book to my next gathering.

So, where were we?

Awakening Hour✨ is an hour-long catch up session where my Queen gal friends and I take turns sharing the key learnings we’ve had since the last time we all met up. I’ll share the steps I took to plan the virtual gathering, how it went, and my ideas for A.H. #2 in my next blog 🙋🏻‍♀️.
